So many foods are labeled as good one day and bad the next. Luckily there is a selection of foods that are so good that they were worthy enough to post about~
I personally love to incorporate each of these foods into my diet because I see so many improvements in energy, in my skin, metabolism and all around feel so much better physically!
What makes a super food a super food? Simply put a 'super-food' is a nutrient rich food that provides the body with so many benefits such as antioxidant boost, energy revitalization, vitamin supplement, digestion aid, and most importantly a higher immune system.

A wonderful example is Coconut Oil. Packed with healthy fats that aid in boosting your metabolism, as well as increased endurance and energy, this superfood is proven to improve insulin levels as well as help maintain cholesterol levels in the body. Highly recommended for those who suffer from cholesterol and diabetes problems!
Many people are familiar with the word Acai, as it is associated with many frozen smoothies in Juice bars and Acai bars all over the world, but many don't know that this food is one of the best antioxidant replenishers for your body. Antioxidants are best known for the preventing of diseases and cancers to form in the body ( from oxidants). These powerful enzymes cover the cells in the body with protective layers to help prevent the mutation of DNA that cause tumors and other illnesses. Acai is also loaded with Fiber and other nutrients to aid in better metabolic processes as well.
So many people dread the word Wheatgrass because it is associated with a shot of a very intense green juice. Some people love it and most people hate it but regardless of the taste, everyone should try to incorporate it in their diet! It is so rich in nutrients that it is equivalent to 2 kale salads, and half of a cup of coffee... Wheatgrass contains an excellent amount of chlorophyll and one might ask "Why do I need chlorophyll in my diet?!" The answer to that is because it fuels you body with vitamins A, B, C, and K. Wheatgrass contains 17 amino acids in the DNA makeup which means its actually an excellent source of natural protein.

In stores such as the juice bar I work with, Wheatgrass is grown naturally, and then cut and put into a spindle to gather the juice. It does not yield much juice at all! In fact every two large handfuls of wheatgrass may yield about 1 ounce of juice!
